Get It @ CalState - Cost Savings over Interlibrary Loans FALL 2010
Leveraging Digital Marketplace software, the CSU Virtual Library allows faculty and students to search for online resources and deliver them rapidly using agreements with the Copyright Clearing Center. This service will reduce the time to receive selected content via the interlibrary loan program from weeks to minutes. It also reduces the cost of delivering this content substantially, shifting the acquisition of this content from an annual subscription to a pay-per-view model.

Federated Search/Discovery Service FALL 2010
An enterprise-wide service for discovering content found in numerous repositories. With this tool, faculty can discover course content through a search of existing materials that includes publisher content, library materials, and open educational resources (OER).
The federated search, along with the HEOA adoption application, can also facilitate administrations’ need to comply with the new HEOA requirements to publish pertinent information about all assigned course materials in a timely fashion.

Licensed Content PILOT RUNNING FALL 2010
The high cost of textbooks is a significant factor in the overall cost of an education. Consistent with the goal of making learning content as affordable as possible, the Digital Marketplace provides access to licensed publisher content, at dramatically lower costs to students.
This model will allow every student to license digital and/or print versions of their course material for a fraction of the price currently charged for new and used textbooks. The DM provides the enabling delivery services to interested institutions.
